Can Dogs Eat Takis?

Humans love to eat spicy foods, and takis comes in the category of hot snacks. When you are enjoying your cold beverage and a bag of Takis and dropped one piece by mistake on the floor, your dog ate it. Now the first question that comes in any dog owner in this situation is, can dogs eat takis? Let's discuss this topic in the below article:

Is Takis good for dogs?

As a proud dog owner from the past ten years, let me tell you one thing from my own experience, spicy food is not suitable for dogs—Takis, especially known for the spicy and tangy seasonings which are not safe for your dog. The chilies in takis could burn the throat of the dog inside.

Why Takis are bad for dogs?

The moment your dog ate a few takis, it instantly started showing an effect on his health. Takis are not at all healthy for your canine. It may not kill your dog but it could lead to stomach upset, diarrhea, pain, and discomfort. It also causes gastrointestinal pain, throat burn, and flatulence. Dogs are much more sensitive than humans so it burns your dog's throat as soon as he consumed it by accident. The smell of takis is also very harsh, which could affect your fur buddy. It also increases thirst and sometimes leads to inflammation of the pancreas.

Nutritional values of takis

There are no nutritional values in takis. They are just packed with spices, fats, and calories. A typical takis bag contains 230 calories, which is not the good news of your canine's health.

Conclusion:

Can dogs eat takis? Nope, it is not a healthy treat for your pet dog. Your dog will face severe health damages, even if you feed one or two pieces. Whenever you are eating takis, you might feel to share some with your puppy who is sitting right beside you with those sparkling eyes. But don't do this. If your dog ate takis by mistake it is always better to contact a vet.
